You know, sometimes, you see those really bright, colorful eyeliners out there. On models, on people walking by. And then you probably think to try on but then again your thought is, no way. I get it. It seems a bit extra. Especially if you’re usually just a mascara-and-go person. But here’s the thing, adding a pop of color with liner is honestly way easier than it looks. It’s just a fun way to change your vibe without a whole lot of effort. Let’s just figure out how you can actually make it happen. You might even love it.
1. Pick Your Perfect Pop
When you will be using a colorful eyeliner, don’t start with a vibrant neon type colors like neon yellow, neon green. Instead choose some colors that genuinely make your eyes sparkle.
- For Brown Eyes: Almost any color works. Go for some pop up blue, deep emerald green, deep purple, or even a deep red. These colors will make your eyes look deeper and more vibrant.
- For Blue Eyes: Warm tones are perfect for blue eyes. Coppers, peaches, or even a deep, moody burgundy will make your blue eyes truly pop with instant intensity.
- For Green or Hazel Eyes: Purples are fantastic. Warm, earthy tones like rust are also great. And sometimes, a bold sapphire blue can really make those eyes pop.
If you don’t have any colored eyeliner then you can use a colorful eyeshadow.
2. Next: Choose the Right Tools-
- An angled eyeshadow brush (great for drawing lines).
- A smudging brush (if you want a soft smudgy look).
- Pencil eyeliners: These are kind. Very easy to draw with.
3. Keep everything Simple-
While making your eyes vibrant, other things need to be neutral.
-Your Base: Keep it light. Bare minimum coverage is best.
–Cheeks and Lips: A little bit of color, a tinted lip balm, or a nude wash. That’s enough. Don’t let cheeks and lips steal the show from those stunning eyes.
4. Don’t Skip Primer!
Don’t miss this. A sweep of eyeshadow primer is your magic move. It holds that vibrant color in place. No fading, no creasing. It’s as though you’re preparing the perfect canvas for your eye masterpiece.
Now the next part is how you will apply the colors-
-The Bright Wing:
Just draw your reliable winged liner line. But, instead of black, use a deep red, a green or a vibrant pink. Apply mascara on top.
-Color on Top (The Double Liner):
Draw your usual thin black line first. Then, right over it, draw a thin line in your bright color. You can use light green, orange or bright teal. It’s a clean, shocking flash.
-Graphic Eye Play
Try a long inner corner line, or a floating crease line. Go bold with something like pure white, a real red, or a shocking neon yellow. Don’t skip your waterlines for extra dramatic effect.
-Under eye pop
A bit braver, but so in style. Try a bold shade along your bottom lash line. Just be clever about it – dark greens, dark purples, or warm burgundies look great here. Then gently smudge it out with a brush for sultry, smoky eyes.
Go On, Play With It!
So, you see those wild, bright eyeliner looks here and there. But didn’t try yet. Now you know the basics. You can give it a try. It’s really not that hard. Even if you don’t wear much makeup, you can experiment with this.
Let me know how you like it.
